Combination Set #1

Three NRHC structures are featured on this postcard. Matador Half-Dugout (1888) The dugout was a common architectural form adopted by settlers on the plains because trees were scarce. Los Corralitos (c. 1780) This fortified dwelling is a testament of the grit of early Spanish land grant holders who pioneered the Southwest cattle industry. Barton House (1909) This two-story Queen Anne-style house reflects the confidence of a prosperous Hale County rancher. Postcard measures  5-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches.
